Mahita Kadmiel, PhD

Dr. Mahita Kadmiel is a passionate grant writer, scientist, and mentor who loves turning big ideas into funded projects. As the Director of Grant Writing at M3 Grant Consultants, she specializes in securing funding for scientific and clinical research and community projects, bringing years of proposal development and project management experience across U. S. government, academic, and corporate sectors.
With a PhD in Cell and Molecular Physiology from UNC Chapel Hill and a postdoctoral fellowship in Molecular Endocrinology from the National Institutes of Health, Mahita has a deep understanding of science and a talent for translating complex research into compelling proposals. She has helped secure funding for numerous projects and takes pride in mentoring others to reach their academic and professional goals.
Beyond her work at M3 Grant Consultants, Mahita is also a professor at a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, where she fosters an inclusive learning environment. She is deeply committed to ensuring minorities feel they belong and matter in both education and healthcare.
When she’s not writing grants or mentoring future scientists, you’ll find Mahita outdoors with her husband and children, cheering enthusiastically at her son’s soccer games, or watching her daughter dance with joy.
Mercy Thokala, Ph.D. - Grant Consultant
Mercy Thokal is a motivated and detail-oriented grant writer at M3 Grant Consultants, possessing a strong background in research and writing. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from New Mexico State University and has completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, where she refined her research and writing abilities through academic projects focused on animal and plant virology as well as plant mycology. Mercy Thokala is deeply committed to collaborating with organizations that aim to benefit the community. She is enthusiastic about utilizing her expertise in obtaining funding for impactful programs.
In her leisure time, Mercy Thokala enjoys spending quality moments with her family. They actively support graduate and undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds by organizing weekly events every Friday, which include meals and occasional games. Additionally, she enjoys cooking, gardening and painting alongside her daughter and son.
Mollie Cochran, M.S. Candidate - Grant Consultant
Mollie Cochran is a dedicated grant writer and consultant at M3 Grant Consultants, where she applies her expertise in scientific research, healthcare, and community programming to help secure funding for organizations making a difference. Mollie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Allegheny College and entered a position as a grant writer to secure funding for cutting-edge research projects and community-based vision care programs. Her ability to bridge the gap between complex project concepts and practical applications to funding proposals has made her a valuable asset to the team.
Mollie believes that effective grant writing goes beyond just securing financial support— it’s about creating meaningful connections and partnerships with clients that advance important causes. This mindset ensures that every project she supports is grounded in compassion and driven by measurable impact. In addition to her role at M3 Grant Consultants, Mollie is pursuing a Master of Science in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling at Thomas Jefferson University.
Outside of her professional work, Mollie enjoys spending time in nature, playing the flute, reading novels, and volunteering with her local community organizations.
